Family Bike Ride

So our family along with the Andelins (cousins) all went for a bike ride. We unloaded the bikes up at Vivian Park and rode down to Nuns Park and ate a fun little picnic! Thats when my bike experienced a flat tire - Oh! So I rode in the "kiddiecart" all the way to the (our house). It was wonderful but I wonder what people probably thought of me. But Teton was at least happy about it! Poor Rob, he pulled me in that cart the whole way.

Halloween

We got our very own first trick or treaters at our own house!!! It was so fun. We didn't get a lot of trick or treaters but we got a lot of people from our ward and other friends. Our dear friends the Hatchell's came as well as my siblings: Jacob, Lizzy, Ethan, Melissa and Russell. It was so fun. Our neighbors just a couple houses down totally out did us for decorations. Their front lawn looked awesome! They even had an old truck with the hood opened for a fog machine underneath so that it looked like the truck was smoking. Next year the competition is on!

Here are the pumpkins that Rob and I craved for FHE.

I was a pirate for Halloween. Rob was going ot be a pirate too - but he never actually put on his costume. Teton was a pirate too; See he even has the hat!

Trip to Disneyland!!!

Rob took me to Disneyland! It was the first time I've ever been there. We went at the end of October, so it was slow enough that we were able to ride all the rides (except totland) and even some twice. My favorite was the Indiana Jones ride - that was incredible!

Remodeling...

Rob and I decided that we wanted to just spend a day or two and replace the countertop in our kitchen basement. Yeah....so here we are a month later and the basement countertop is still not done. But its already looking a whole lot better! Even the plywood we but down before the tile looked way better than the ugly yellow formica that was there previous. I will post some pictures of the before and after stuff.

My Backyard

This is a path that I was building...its not done yet.

The four plots show above are for the vegatable garden. One will have strawberrys, one herbs and two vegatables.
"Time began in a Garden". I love my garden and landscape. If I could spend all day everyday working in my garden I would be content. Here are some pictures of our backyard, it still has a long way to go. Rob keeps reminding me that I need to follow my own design (that I have draw up for the backyard), I have a habbit of bringing home 'free' plants from off of different jobs sights and incorporating them into our yard.

All Work and No Play

Rob and I are working on an audit. We have been working 12-14 hour days, sometimes till midnight to get everything organized and ready for the IRS auditor. It has been a wonderful learning experience and Rob is fun to work with! When he's not teasing me :)

Rob and I flew back east to visit Rob’s family. It was so fun! I was able to get to know them much better. We spent ten days visiting and seeing sights. Some of the places we saw included: Washington DC, the Smithsonian; Richmond, VA; Monticello, Williamsburg, colonial plantations, Baltimore and the Inner Harbor and the Aquarium. The whole trip was amazing! I learned so much. I had no idea Virginia had so much Civil War history as well as Revolutionary War history.
Rob at the World War ll Memorial. The Philippines is where he served his mission.

(Above) Rob and I at the White House.

(Below) Arlington Cemetery visiting the grave of Rob’s great grandfather. Robs great grandfather was one of the explorers to first map out Greenland; as well as served in the US Air Force through three Wars.

Before our trip back east Rob and I went on a bike ride with my family. We rode all the way from Vivians Park down Provo Canyon and to our house. It was a fun ride! We just buckled the dog into the kiddiekart and away we went. But I don’t think Teton (our dog) enjoyed it, he moaned and whined the whole way down.

July 16, 2008

Rob has been working for Hans doing tax and accounting work. I am still doing freelance landscape design work. I love it!

My sister Jeanie was up for a visit with her three cute kids. That was a blast to spend some quality time with her.

Rob, Jacob (my brother) and I went for a good little motorcycle ride a couple weeks ago.

We love our ward. Rob and I have held callings in Primary (CTR 5 and CTR 8). We loved both classes. Four wild boys in CTR 5 kept us on our toes, the goal was to survive. Keep them from crawling out the window during class or sword fighting, turning chairs upside down or even pulling their shirts up over their heads in Sharing time. Wow! It was a happ'n bunch! The CTR 8 class we had four of the sweetest girls that you could ask for and one boy. We actually had to plan a lesson. They were a wonderful class and we really enjoyed them.

Sleeping in and not having to cook has been great! Tonight got a bit stressful though when Mike our neighbors downstairs informed me that there was no hot water for his shower last night. Oh no! Rob's gone and I don't' know ANYTHING about a hot water heater. I really didn't have a clue as to what to do. But my mom came and saved the day. She can't to barrow a movie and I roped her into fixing my water heater. She went through the instructions with me and together we got pilot light started and the heater working again. That's all that was wrong with it! And again I survived yet another day without a husband! Who would have thought! My next challenge tomorrow will be figuring out how to turn on the lawn mower!

So I called up the number on our hot water heater and the receptionist informed me that there is an $88.00 service charge just to come out and look at it.

Rob is still gone. I really miss him.

Missing Rob.....

Rob is in California for work. We miss each other so much! He is working for the Bohemian Grove. He'll be in california for almost a whole month. As well as a whole week at the end of May. He flies out to California every year to work at this camp, every July. He has done it since he was 16. This year though he took my brother Jacob. Unfortunately Rob doesn't get service on his cell phone because its so far out in the Redwood forest. But luckily there are curtousy phones that are free for the members of the camp to use, so I get to talk to him every night. They drive down to the closest city to eat out or go to a movie quite a bit. He says Jacob spends the whole movie texting (hes a textaholic) and its the only time when hes in range so he has to reply to all those texts from girls.
