Hale Center Theater - The Scarlet Pimpernel

What an excellent play! It was so good! I good friend got us tickets and I will never forget it. So much passion and such good acting. I've been to several other plays at the Hale Center but this one was my favorite. I really can't say enough good about it and I could never do it justice. I would highly recommend it to anyone. Here is a picture of the actors that played Percy and Margarite.

Snow Driving

Robs is in Chicago. It snowed about 5 inches last night. I had to take Rob to the airport so we left at 5:30am. Scary drive home from Airport. I was driving their was a good amount of snow on the road but I had everything under control. I was in the middle lane just in case I did slide I wouldn't hit a barrier or anything. THere were no cars behind me and only one in front of me. Things were going very smoothly until the car in front of me did a 180 and I found myself driving directly into a car spinning into my direction (facing me head on). I pumped the brakes and prayed really hard that I would be able to stop and not hit the car in front of me. Miraculously my car did slow down in time for the car ahead of me to regain control and drive off to the side and out of my way. I was very grateful for an answer to my prayer.

Black Friday Deals

So Rob and I conveniently slept in on Black Friday but we still got some great deals. We finally got a glider (rocking chair) at Baby's R Us. They were 50% off! So we got a $300 chair and ottoman for $149.00, I'm so glad we didn't pay full price (we almost bought one a few months back) So glad we waited. I got a much needed hard drive, a little toy for Stephan (Reg 25.00 - we paid $9.99) for Christmas its a little train with a track and all. Its really cute - I can't wait to see him play with it. I'm trying to get 72 hour kits together so I was able to pick up some stuff for that for a good deal too. Got a bunch of other good deals on Christmas gifts but I can't say what they were in case the recipients read this. But I was tickled! It was such a fun day. I'm so glad Rob is so willing to go shopping with me.

We put up the Christmas Tree on Saturday, I need to work out some lighting issues. Its a pre-lit tree and the mid section of the tree lights don't work :(. Robs gone and I don't have a clue. Why is it all the technical things give me problems when he's not here to fix them for me? Last night the door lock decided to break and I was basically locked out in the cold with Stephan luckily I was able to drive to my moms and recruit my brother Jacob to come unscrew the door and get me back inside my house. Needless to say I really miss Rob when he leaves.

My sister Wendy had her baby yesterday morning. Her husband William finally got his little boy after two little girls :). Congrats you two!

Watched home videos today with Jacob and Lizzy. It was a hoot! So many things that you forget if you don't record them. So funny! My family is so cute.

Cutest Hat!!!

A dear neighbor of my parents made this hat for Stephan - I thought it was so cute I had to take his picture!

Family Pictures

This is my boy, how I adore him! Fifty pictures and we couldn't get a smile - get in the car to head home and that boy was all smiles. (Rascal!). He loved the globe, he touched it and wanted to look at it the whole time.

Stephan and Me - I loved this picture!

We got family pictures taken! I was very happy with the way they turned out.

We opted to have the pictures taken outside but we all got drenched (notice Stephan's hair in below picture). Notice mine in the picture to the left.

Andrea's Baby Shower

So I was lucky enough to co host a baby shower for Andrea Hatchell. It was incredible! Don works for Diamond Rentals so we had access to all sorts of wonderful things (tables, chairs, satin napkins etc). I think Don said it would have been over $1000.00 to rent everything we used for the shower.

4th of July

Rob and I have decided that we love biking to the BYU fireworks so much that we are going to make it a family tradition that we do every year. We did it last year and this year. We did have a small challenge we have a bike cart but Stephan still isn't quite big enough to sit in it alone. So Rob got creative and securely fastened Stephans car seat into the bike cart. Stephan was as warm and secure as he could possibly be and he looked sooo cute! Heres a picture:

Tax Season is in Full Swing

I'm back to work doing tax preparation and going into my second year. I really enjoy taxes and feel like I am learning something new everyday. I've been really busy with that and still doing landscape designs on the side (Paradiselandscape.blogspot.com). Rob is going on his last semester at BYU. He works so hard he is going to school full time, doing an internship and working his regular job.

Family Bike Ride

So our family along with the Andelins (cousins) all went for a bike ride. We unloaded the bikes up at Vivian Park and rode down to Nuns Park and ate a fun little picnic! Thats when my bike experienced a flat tire - Oh! So I rode in the "kiddiecart" all the way to the (our house). It was wonderful but I wonder what people probably thought of me. But Teton was at least happy about it! Poor Rob, he pulled me in that cart the whole way.

Halloween

We got our very own first trick or treaters at our own house!!! It was so fun. We didn't get a lot of trick or treaters but we got a lot of people from our ward and other friends. Our dear friends the Hatchell's came as well as my siblings: Jacob, Lizzy, Ethan, Melissa and Russell. It was so fun. Our neighbors just a couple houses down totally out did us for decorations. Their front lawn looked awesome! They even had an old truck with the hood opened for a fog machine underneath so that it looked like the truck was smoking. Next year the competition is on!

Here are the pumpkins that Rob and I craved for FHE.

I was a pirate for Halloween. Rob was going ot be a pirate too - but he never actually put on his costume. Teton was a pirate too; See he even has the hat!

Trip to Disneyland!!!

Rob took me to Disneyland! It was the first time I've ever been there. We went at the end of October, so it was slow enough that we were able to ride all the rides (except totland) and even some twice. My favorite was the Indiana Jones ride - that was incredible!

Remodeling...

Rob and I decided that we wanted to just spend a day or two and replace the countertop in our kitchen basement. Yeah....so here we are a month later and the basement countertop is still not done. But its already looking a whole lot better! Even the plywood we but down before the tile looked way better than the ugly yellow formica that was there previous. I will post some pictures of the before and after stuff.

My Backyard

This is a path that I was building...its not done yet.

The four plots show above are for the vegatable garden. One will have strawberrys, one herbs and two vegatables.
"Time began in a Garden". I love my garden and landscape. If I could spend all day everyday working in my garden I would be content. Here are some pictures of our backyard, it still has a long way to go. Rob keeps reminding me that I need to follow my own design (that I have draw up for the backyard), I have a habbit of bringing home 'free' plants from off of different jobs sights and incorporating them into our yard.

All Work and No Play

Rob and I are working on an audit. We have been working 12-14 hour days, sometimes till midnight to get everything organized and ready for the IRS auditor. It has been a wonderful learning experience and Rob is fun to work with! When he's not teasing me :)

Rob and I flew back east to visit Rob’s family. It was so fun! I was able to get to know them much better. We spent ten days visiting and seeing sights. Some of the places we saw included: Washington DC, the Smithsonian; Richmond, VA; Monticello, Williamsburg, colonial plantations, Baltimore and the Inner Harbor and the Aquarium. The whole trip was amazing! I learned so much. I had no idea Virginia had so much Civil War history as well as Revolutionary War history.
Rob at the World War ll Memorial. The Philippines is where he served his mission.

(Above) Rob and I at the White House.

(Below) Arlington Cemetery visiting the grave of Rob’s great grandfather. Robs great grandfather was one of the explorers to first map out Greenland; as well as served in the US Air Force through three Wars.

Before our trip back east Rob and I went on a bike ride with my family. We rode all the way from Vivians Park down Provo Canyon and to our house. It was a fun ride! We just buckled the dog into the kiddiekart and away we went. But I don’t think Teton (our dog) enjoyed it, he moaned and whined the whole way down.
